On my way home yesterday, I came upon this awesome find by the curb - a huge, heavy-duty deck umbrella, complete with the metal base! A house a street over from me was getting rid of it and I scooped it up. We've been saying we want to get one for our deck for about 3 summers, but just never wanted to spend the money. Good thing we didn't because this thing is great! After a quick search online, most umbrellas like this are around $100 and the base $20+. What a great find! Proof that you shouldn't immediately write off your neighbor's curbside pile as junk, you never know what might be hiding in there!
